Welcome to Val de Bagnes.

Together, its 26 villages and hamlets form a mountain town that offers visitors and others a warm welcome. Our long tradition of tourism, with the Verbier resort among others, means we are committed to helping both our new residents and our guests settle in and enjoy their time here. Our policies are therefore designed to support integration and community living.

The wide variety of leisure activities on offer, developed and supported by around 116 sporting and cultural associations in the municipality, will undoubtedly appeal to both young and old. With such a broad range of activities on offer, we do everything we can to help our fellow citizens and guests to thrive, with initiatives aimed at both young and older people.

A mountain town is primarily about nature and magnificent landscapes. The summits that surround us, from the Grand Combin to the Bec des Rosses and Mont-Rogneux are majestic and guarantee a different spectacle every day.

The scale of this territory makes our municipality one of the largest in Switzerland, which forces us to think about accessibility and the interconnectedness of our transport services. The planned transport hub in Le Châble, Curala, should help link the plain to the mountains by rail and coordinate other methods of transport, including cars, cable cars and bicycles.

Our infrastructure is available to both the population and businesses, which need a working environment that supports their activities. In recent years, we have seen a change to the world of work in Val de Bagnes, with the sharp rise in digital nomadism. What could be more inspiring than working from your chalet before taking a stroll along our footpaths and stopping for a drink on the terrace of a restaurant?

Val de Bagnes - where everyone’s welcome
